Chris Paul's Hornets swarm Kobe's Lakers for Game 1 Victory

For Lakers to three-peat they need to get past CP 3

The Los Angeles Lakers the NBA reigning champs went down big in game 1 of the best of seven series against the visiting New Orleans Hornets.

The Hornets came in the seventh seed to face the defending Champs in Los Angeles and led throughout.

Chris Paul was superb leading the Hornets to a 109-100 victory. Paul had 33 points 14 dimes 4 steals and seven boards with only two of the Hornets 3 total turnovers for the game.

The Lakers were led by Kobe Bryant who led all scorers with 34 points. The Hornets shut down All Star Pau Gasol holding him to 8 points in 38 minutes.

With both the Lakers and Spurs losing it was an historical day with the top 2 seeds dropping to the seven and eight seeds in game one.
